FAQ'S
-

-
3. How old should a puppy be when I bring it home?Typically from 10 weeks is the minimum age; puppies need time with their mother and littermates. If travelling from abroad minimum age is 3.5 months +, depending on your countries entry requirements. For example for UK & Europe puppies must be fully vaccinated, microchipped & have rabies vaccination if travelling from another European country. Minimum age of travel is 3 months and 21 days.
-
4. How much will a puppy cost overall?Beyond the purchase price, consider vaccinations, vet visits, insurance, food, grooming, training, toys, and emergency care.
-
1. What vaccinations and deworming has the puppy had?We will provide vet records which will show the vaccinations the puppy had. At the very minimum puppy will have had at least first injection.
-
2. Is the puppy microchipped? All of our puppies are microchipped
-
3. What food is the puppy eating now?Our puppies are fed on royal canine ‘mini junior’ dry food and also Lilly’s kitchen wet puppy food. Any transitions to new food should be made gradually to avoid stomach issues. We recommend avoiding any puppy processed dog treats as they often cause loose stool and can make puppy ill.
-
4. Is the puppy crate-trained or housebroken? We do our very best & start early with training, although you must understand that further training would need to continue in your home & adjustment to your routine.
-
5. What else should I have ready and be aware of?It is important to have all the essential products ready in case of an emergency. We highly recommend to de-worm the puppy after long travel with panacur paste as very often they can catch parasites during travel which in turn makes them very poorly.
-
1. What supplies do I need?Essentials: crate, food, water/food bowls, collar, bed, harness & leash, ID tag, toys, and grooming tools.
-
2. Should I get pet insurance? It can save money long-term, especially for unexpected health issues. We do highly recommend getting insurance in place.
-
3. Do I need to find a vet before bringing my puppy home?Yes. Schedule a wellness exam within a few days of bringing the puppy home.
